Nature's Rampage

Inspired by Frank Roberts' "The Inheritor"

The cycle of life and death continues,
For the manifestation of death is nature's will.
Eat or get eaten, get fed or be food.
There is no escape, only delay.
We will all be swallowed by a river of pain.
Then we are truly free.

Guardians of the Galaxy Review (4/5)

Guardians of the Galaxy is a Sci-fi Action film directed by James Gunn and created by the always entertaining Stan Lee. We find the brave "Scrapper" Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) collecting a silver orb for a client on Planet Xandar. On Xandar Quill's customer backs out of their previous deal. On the same planet assassin Gamora (Zoe Saldana) confronts Quill to retrieve the silver orb for the overlord Ronan (Lee Pace). While seeing Quill and Gamora battle, Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and his house plant/ body guard Groot (Vin Diesel) notice a bounty on Quill's head and join in on the current brawl. From there on the 4 of them are sent to jail where Gamora reveals her plans to betray Ronan. From there the 4 of them and inmate Drax (Dave Batista) they picked up while in jail are sent to sell the silver orb for 4.2 Billion Units of space currency. Enough about the plot, lets talk about the movie. For the most part Guardians of the Galaxy was funny, creative, and action packed but suffered by trying to hard to make some jokes work. The special effects were some of the best, if not the best I've seen to this date. The writing was great and the actors did a great job. Even thought the film was over 2 hours long, it felt as if there was allot missing to it, and was to some extent incomplete. This mostly occurred around the 1 hour 30 minutes mark. Overall Guardians of the Galaxy was a fun experience with good humor if at times inappropriate, with great special effects, a script that can't be beat. Even thought it felt a bit short I give it a 4/5.
